This large fruit Is a magical vehicle that belongs to a character called Reg the Veg. He persuades Amy to take a ride In the pumpkin and soon they are travelling at tremendous speed through the earth to a place called, THE MUCK IN THE MIDDLE, which happens to be Reg the veg’s home.

It is here that Amy is introduced to Reg’s friends, Beetle Bert, Fluggy Flea and Nuts.
They tell her that the energy which makes everything survive in the ground is disappearing and if nothing is done urgently, the ground will become a DEAD ZONE!

It is believed that the energy comes from The Dark Deep Depths, way below THE MUCK IN THE MIDDLE. The 5 companions decide to go in search of the disappearing energy and it is here that Amy’s adventure becomes even more exciting and extremely dangerous. Beneath the Dark Deep Depths lurks two deadly poisonous gases called, The Big Stink, and Little Stench who’s evil plan is to destroy everything that lives in the ground making it become a DEAD ZONE!

These terrible smells have managed to stop the grounds energy by poisoning its maker, a little creature called Eno Gee.
